This is also a tradition in my hometown in Denmark! Every year in the summer time, a 4k is planned around a lake. 4 people per team, and 24 beers. Before u pass the finish line, the team of 4 must have completely finished all 24 beers. The event is called “Alvindsø stafetten” and has been an ongoing tradition for more than 50 years.
